Touching In is a yearlong practice and learning program for adults. Research has shown mindfulness and yoga practices to be beneficial for a whole variety of situations, but it can be so challenging to develop them on your own! Here is your opportunity to deepen and grow your practice in a supportive community with expert guidance. The process we will engage in together in this course can be helpful for handling a wide range of circumstances - from the ordinary stresses of daily life, to chronic illness, to aging and life changes.


Touching In includes 9 Sunday daylong gatherings (9:00am-3:00pm), entrance to as many MPHA weekly classes as you wish to attend, connection with a practice cohort with encouragement to support each other throughout the program, and the option for a once a month private meeting with the teacher, Éowyn Ahlstrom.


The group size for this course is limited to 12, to help create a supportive, intimate atmosphere for this powerfully introspective and community oriented program of self study and care.

A Typical Sunday Schedule

9:00 am: Introduction of the framework/theme for the coming month,

Discussion, Go Around, Setting of Intentions for the Day

9:30 am: Guided Sitting Meditation


10:30 am: Mindful Yoga Session


(members of the wider Listening Wellness Center community may join the morning meditation and/or yoga portions only)


12:00 noon: Silent Sitting Meditation


12:30 pm: Mindful Meal (A Healthy Vegetarian Lunch is Provided.)


1:30 pm: Guided Practice (various kinds, depending on the months' theme:

Writing and Other Reflective Exercises, Self-care Massage, Walking

Meditation, Digestive/Restorative Yoga Postures, Mindful Listening

and Speaking, Small Group Discussions etc.)

2:30 pm: Closing - Discussion, Go Around, Setting Intentions for the

coming month, Questions and Answers


3:00 pm:  End
